European Urban Initiative - € 90 Million call to transform EU cities

Credit thisisengineering via PexelsThe European Commission has launched its third call for proposals under the European Urban Initiative (EUI), a € 90 million investment to support urban innovation across the EU. The call will fund opportunities to test innovative solutions in cities and accelerate the green and digital transitions.

Tackling the Energy Transition and Embracing Technology

The call invites EU cities to submit project proposals that focus on one of two key priorities:

  • Energy Transition: Experiments with tangible solutions to ensure affordable, secure, and cleaner local energy systems;
  • Technology in Cities: Exploration of emerging technologies and digital solutions to improve public services, urban governance, citizen engagement, and security.
