These are some of the key themes highlighted by Ms. Elena Donazzan, Vice-President of the ITRE Committee of the European Parliament and shadow rapporteur on the implementation of Horizon Europe and the future FP10.

Towards FP10, the 27 push for an autonomous and ambitious successor to Horizon

The European Parliament approved on March 11 in a plenary session a report on the implementation of Horizon Europe, in view of its mid-term evaluation, and on the recommendations for the Tenth Framework Programme for R&I (FP10).

In the 22-page document, ample space is dedicated to the immediate future of Horizon Europe, in the 2025-2027 triennium, emphasizing "the importance of an agile framework programme", which respects the DNSH principle and gender equality plans, and values "international cooperation for the advancement of science" and excellence "to ensure the participation of the best researchers in Europe throughout the entire programme".
