Railways of Montenegro ( Zeljieznicka Infrastructure Crne Gore AD, ZICG) intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank of Reconstructon and Development (EBRD) towards the cost of the emergency rehabilitation of the railway infrastructure including the protection of the slopes along the Niksic – Podgorica railway line.

The project will entail the installation of slope protection and rock-fall measures on the up-hill, unstable slopes at some 50 locations along the 56.8 km length of railway between Niksic – Podgorica.
