InfoPoint Conference: Disability-inclusive Livelihoods
The European Commission is hosting a conference on disability-inclusive livelihoods, focusing on critical actions to ensure the inclusion of persons with disabilities in livelihoods programming. Since 1992, Humanity & Inclusion (HI) has been implementing projects to include persons with disabilities in productive activities, addressing barriers and needs.
This session is aimed at livelihoods practitioners seeking practical tools for inclusion. It will feature examples from the RECOSA project in Burkina Faso and Niger, and the IDMAG project in Egypt. The session will highlight actions such as meaningful participation, personalized support, and the use of disability data.
Speakers include Cécile Billaux, Alexandre Goutchkoff, Midiéba Fabrice Yonli, Tanimoune Seibou, Kazem Hemeda, and Marianna Lipponen. The event will be held in English and French, with live transcripts available.
