The CBD COP16 is scheduled to occur in Cali, Colombia, from 21 October to 1 November 2024. This event will feature a comprehensive program of activities focused on transformative actions to achieve the Global Biodiversity Framework, hosted at the EU Pavilion. The European Union's objectives and stance for COP16 are detailed in the Council Conclusions. The Technical Support Instrument (TSI) has assisted 27 Member States in implementing the Green Deal by formulating and executing reforms related to climate change mitigation, addressing greenwashing, sustainability reporting, climate change adaptation, energy, environment, circular economy, sustainable mobility, just transition, green procurement, green budgeting, and green taxation, thereby channeling public and private financing towards sustainable investments.
