European Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024

The 2024 edition of the European Day of Persons with Disabilities conference will take place in Brussels on 28-29 November 2024. Hosted by the European Commission in partnership with the European Disability Forum, this annual conference aims to raise awareness and address challenges faced by persons with disabilities. It aligns with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Strategy for the rights of persons with disabilities 2021-2030.

The event will feature discussions on strategic objectives, policy proposals, and initiatives for the next five years, focusing on the 8 priority areas of the Strategy, including employment, independent living, and transport. The conference will also host the Access City Award ceremony, celebrating EU cities making efforts to become accessible for persons with disabilities, marking its 15th anniversary.

Live streaming will be available in multiple languages, including French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, and International Sign Language.
