ADB Community Resilience Partnership Forum 2025: Call for Solutions

This forum aims to amplify efforts in scaling up climate adaptation investments at the community level across Asia and the Pacific, particularly focusing on the intersection of climate change, poverty alleviation, and gender equality.

The CRPP is designed to support communities in becoming more resilient to climate change impacts through innovative solutions that address these critical issues. The forum will convene a diverse group of stakeholders including community leaders, government officials, think tanks, and financing institutions to foster dialogue and collaboration.

Key Themes and Objectives

The forum will explore several key themes aimed at enhancing community resilience:

  • Community-based Infrastructure: Strategies to strengthen infrastructure in urban areas to enhance resilience for poor and vulnerable women.
  • Urban Social Systems: Improvement of social systems to better support urban climate resilience for marginalized groups.
  • Digital Financial Services: Contributions of digital financial services in building resilience among women in vulnerable communities.
  • Women’s Access to Finance and Entrepreneurship: Innovative strategies to support women entrepreneurs in enhancing their climate resilience.

Call for Solutions

The CRPP Secretariat invites practitioners, especially women from South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Pacific countries, to submit a one-page proposal showcasing innovative solutions addressing the following topics:

  • Community-based infrastructure
  • Urban social systems
  • Digital financial services
  • Women’s access to finance and entrepreneurship

The deadline for submission is January 6, 2025. Proposals should be sent via email to Community Resilience Financing Partnership Facility (CRFPF) Secretariat.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be from South Asia, Southeast Asia, or Pacific countries.
  • No application fee required.
  • No age restrictions specified.
  • No IELTS requirement.

Financial Support and Benefits

The selected candidates will receive comprehensive financial support covering:

  • Roundtrip economy class airfare (most direct route).
  • Hotel accommodation for three nights.
  • A daily subsistence allowance for three days.
  • Covers miscellaneous travel expenses.

A Broader Context: ADB's Commitment to Climate Resilience

The ADB has prioritized climate resilience as part of its operational strategy. By 2030, ADB aims to deliver $100 billion in climate finance and ensure that at least 75% of its operations support climate change mitigation or adaptation efforts.
