This is the invitation from Maria Cristina Russo, Director of the Prosperity Directorate - DG RTD of the European Commission, who spoke at the Apre 2024 annual conference. The event addressed several key elements of the debate on the future of R&I funding in Europe.

In recent weeks, there has been talk of 'rumors' about the future of Horizon Europe, and it now seems to be a concrete hypothesis regarding the possible allocation of European funds intended for the Tenth Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10) within the new European Competitiveness Fund that will be part of the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028-2034.
