Since last November 2022, when the European Innovation Council Fund (EIC Fund) announced its first equity investments under Horizon Europe, the number of financed projects has now risen up to 42, involving deep-tech companies for an amount of 331 million euros of equity. EIC launches new calls for innovative start-ups and SMEs

The European Innovation Council - a key component of the New European Innovation Agenda adopted last July by the European Commission to reinforce Europe’s position in the deep tech innovation and start-ups sector - finds in the EIC Fund its equity investment arm.

Now that in September 2022 the AlterDomus Management Company S.A. has been appointed as external Fund Manager and has been given the prime responsibility to take investment decisions - following the rigorous selection process for the EIC Accelerator and due diligence by the European Investment Bank (EIB) - things have known a productive progress and the EIC Fund is now fully operational.

13 companies have already signed their investment agreements. These are pioneering start-ups that are poised to bring breakthrough innovations to citizens and businesses.
