Global Gateway: flagship projects 2025 and new EIB investments in Africa

In the same week the Council approved the 2025 flagship projects of the Global Gateway, at the Africa Investment Forum 2024, the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced new commitments to promote sustainable development and economic inclusion across the African continent.

This strengthens the international development cooperation promoted by the EU, with the Global Gateway as its focal point: a strategy aimed at strengthening ties between Europe (and its member countries) and partner countries, mobilizing public and private investments that Brussels aims to reach 300 billion by 2027.
