What are the missions?
Missions are what the EU will do to tackle big challenges to health, climate and the environment. They will support Europe’s transformation into a greener, healthier, more inclusive and resilient continent by 2030. Horizon Europe missions’ aim is to bring tangible benefits to people in Europe and engage Europeans in their design, implementation and monitoring.
With this in mind, Missions bring researchers, innovators, businesses and policy makers together and provide them with the tools and the funding that they need, to reach the ambitious goals the European Commission set for the years to come. How? By pooling the necessary resources in terms of funding programmes, policies and regulations, as well as other activities.
