Green Deal, an EU Committee of the Regions new call for best practices and climate commitments
The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is collecting low carbon, sustainable projects and climate commitments to reduce emissions from its members and alternate in order to boost the green transition on a local level.
As the COVID-19 pandemic and the energy crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine and global warming effects revealed even more urgently the need for a quick green transition, cities and regions can play a crucial role in delivering the goals of climate neutrality agreed by the European Union.
That is why this call aims to gathered the project in a map that will be published ahead of the United Nation Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 27) which will take place in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt, in November 2022.
