5 calls for proposals for the media sector
Five new calls for proposal to set up European media projects (media platforms, data-driven news, radio, local media and media for a tough audience) were launched by the European Commission with the purpose of improving citizens’ access to trusted information across the European Union.
The calls are part of the European digital strategy, which aspires to create digital solutions to fight climate change and to support the green transition. To reach these achievements, the European Union should lay out different actions such as: protecting people from cyber threats, accelerating the roll-out of ultra-fast broadband for schools and hospitals, ensuring fair competition for all companies in Europe, increasing access to high-quality data, investing in digital skills, reduce the digital sector’s carbon emissions, protect citizens’ data and fight disinformation.&nbs
