The European Nuclear Energy Forum (ENEF) serves as a unique platform for comprehensive discussions about the opportunities and risks associated with nuclear energy. Traditionally organised by the European Commission in cooperation with the host country, this year’s forum will take place in the Czech Republic.
ENEF brings together key stakeholders in the nuclear field, including high-level political representatives from EU countries, European institutions, nuclear industry, nuclear safety regulators, academia and research organisations, trade organisations, and representatives of energy consumers and civil society.
The 2024 conference will mark the 17th edition of ENEF. The Forum will commence with a high-level dinner, followed by the main conference programme on 1 October 2024.
ENEF 2024 will once again provide an occasion for comprehensive and transparent discussions about the opportunities and risks associated with nuclear energy. This year’s conference will focus on the role of nuclear energy towards meeting the EU’s 2040 climate targets, as well as related energy and industrial policy goals. Topics will include prospects and challenges in this context, such as financing investments, nuclear safety, public engagement, and harnessing synergies in supply chain. Additionally, the conference will highlight the progress of Small Modular Reactors and the challenges they face in deploying the first projects in the EU by the early 2030s.
Please note that due to the maximum number of on-site participants being reached, registration for in-person attendance has been closed. However, a live stream of the whole event will be available, excluding the world café (roundtable) sessions.
We look forward to welcoming you to ENEF 2024.
